The finished product. You can't see it in this pic but I sheetrocked the ceiling,
added a pull down aluminum access ladder, added an 18,000BTU air conditioner,
painted all of the walls white and did a little custom trim work inside which is all
painted black. I have a 10' ceiling height inside which is perfect.
I shopped around for the perfect garage door when I found out about
"Wayne-Dalton" garage doors. These doors don't have any exposed springs, and
the spring tension can be retightened with just a cordless drill. They also don't
use a standard garage door opener that hangs in the middle of the ceiling. They
use one called an "I-drive" which is just a small unit that installs at the top of the
door and doesn't take use any ceiling space at all.
I also added a 7hp air compressor which is mounted in a separate addition on
the outside back wall so that I don't have to listen to it run. I plumbed a drain
from the compressor into the garage so that I can drain the water w/o having to
go outside to do it.  I also plumbed copper air lines into the garage with an inline
air dryer. I also have a commercial electric chilled air line dryer to use when
painting.
I also built a custom work bench with a refrigerator.
Since this pic was taken, I've added some black shudders to the outside to
match the house.
